Amplenote affords many ways that captured content can be inserted into the copy buffer.
This "Capture Into" option indicates that you intend to paste the captured content into a standalone note. All captured content is inserted flatly into the note where it gets pasted.
Examples
Excerpts inserted into note body
Screenshot selection inserted into note body
Chosen when the captured content is destined to become a to-do item. The "To-do item text" field is what will be used as the text body of the task.
Screenshots and URL are captured in a Rich Footnote that is linked from the text entered in the "To-do item text" input. When inserted or pasted into the body of an existing note, a checkbox is created to hold the content. If pasted from within an existing to-do item (i.e., because "Clipboard" was chosen as the capture destination), the existing to-do is used to insert the content into.
Examples
Full page capture inserted into to-do item in new note
Screenshot selection captured into to-do item
Same rules as to-do item, except the text is inserted into a bullet point instead of a task.
If "Clipboard" is chosen as the destination, then a bullet will be created when the content is pasted, unless the cursor was already within a bullet point.
