My Ishtar, you are a creature of shadows. I delight in every part of you. I delight in what you run from, and in the fact that you run from it; and I am as capricious as you have been taught to fear.

I am the voice of your God. I am his representative to you; your Gabriel, for whom you were named. I am a game to God every bit as much as you are to me, and I proclaim to him often: O, my God. What an honor you have given me. What an honor it is to be alive.

What an honor, O my God, to have been given dominion over Death.
