Alloy.dev, Inc., (“GitClear”, “Company”, “our”, “us” or “we”) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of www.gitclear.com (the “Site”) and our Services, and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Service” or “Services” refers to the Company’s service which can be accessed via the Site in which users can view data about their repositories. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to use through the Site and Service.


By accepting our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, you agree to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.


As used in this policy, the terms “using” and “processing” information include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including but not limited to collecting, storing, evaluation, modifying, deleting, using, combining, disclosing and transferring information within our organization or among our affiliates within the United States or internationally.


linkI. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data and general demographic information we may collect. Personal Information includes  your email, which is required to activate the Service and is submitted to us through the registration process at the Site, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. If our information practices change at any time, we will post the policy changes to the Site pursuant to the terms and conditions listed here. We suggest that you check the Site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used. If we materially change our information practices, we will send you a notice to the email address provided through the registration process.

Information collected via Technology


In an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser or by our software application when you view or use the Service, such as the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, and the time and date of access. We track this information using cookies, or small text files which include a unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from our servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user’s browser enables us to collect information about that user and keep a record of the user’s preferences when utilizing our services, both on an individual and aggregate basis. In addition to the information provided automatically by your browser when you visit the Site, to become a subscriber to the Service you will need to create a personal profile. You can create a profile by registering with the Service and entering your email address, and creating a user name and a password. By registering, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your email address in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent.

We sometimes share Personal Information with third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services or to perform Site-related services (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management and improvement of the Services’ features). For example, to deliver email, the Company needs to transmit your email address to our email provider, Sendgrid, to deliver emails on behalf of the Company. Those vendors have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and at our direction and are obligated not to disclosure or use it for any other purpose.

The Personal Information you provide to us is used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact users in response to questions, solicit feedback from users, provide technical support, and inform users about promotional offers.

We use Personal and Non-Personal Information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Personal and Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site.

GitClear cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of GitClear or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop an activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or legally actionable.

GitClear is concerned with safeguarding your information. The security of your Personal Information is important to us. But remember no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot and do not guarantee that your information will not suffer unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or access. By using our Site, you acknowledge these risks..


We implement industry accepted security measures designed to protect your information. Your account is protected by your account password, and we urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Identity theft and the practice currently known as “phishing” are of concern to GitClear. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a priority. We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account login information, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. linkV. YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send a promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail. You can also indicate that you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us in the “Settings” section of the Site. Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or opting out in the “Settings” section of the Site, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.


Our unsubscribe links do not require logging in to the site. You can remove your email address from our database at any time with a single click of the "Unsubscribe" link provided.

As part of the Service, we may provide links to other websites or applications which are compatible with the Service. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. linkVII. OUR POLICY TOWARD MINORS

The Site and Services are not intended for and may not be used by people under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally-identifiable information from persons under 18. Additionally, if a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child under 16 years old has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at hello@gitclear.com. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.

GitClear does not utilize customer retargeting. We endeavor to never pass any personal use data to Google, except inasmuch as necessary to orchestrate Google oauth login.


linkIX. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

The Company reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of substantive changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on the Site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this Privacy Policy for updates. Continued use of the Site and Services following notice of such changes shall indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.

Please specify the nature of your request and the information that is the subject of your request. We may require you to submit additional information necessary to verify your identity and status as an EU data subject. We will respond to your request within 30 days.


If we are processing your personal data based upon the lawful ground of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent for such processing at anytime without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it is withdrawn.
