linkDisagreement Policy

In general, if you find a feature that is marked incorrectly and its October 2020, it's probably because we just launched and got it wrong. 😬 With several thousands of features that we've evaluated in the past month, where help documentation varyies greatly from situation-to-situation, it's difficult to be perfect in v1. That said, when we are contacted, we try to give the benefit of the doubt to the app maker. We generally will include features they believe to exist, so long as it corresponds to the definition of the feature.

However, it could be possible that some note app makers might want to submit corrections with which NoteApps researcher disagrees. In these cases, the researcher reserve the right to interpret "gray area feature" inclusion by the language that defines the feature. If there are cases where the researcher and app maker still can't agree on whether a feature exists in the app, we will either:

Seek to amend the feature definition so that it is less ambiguous and the parties can agree on its inclusion (preferred)

Add a note that there is dispute on the applicability of a particular feature

Since v1 of this policy is being created prior to any disagreements being lodged, it's difficult to propose an explicit & comprehensive arbitration procedure. Suffice to say, we pledge to work in good faith to ensure that the features evaluated by NoteApps are sufficiently unambiguous to be consistently evaluated by any reasonable third party. We will continue to amend this document as people provide us better/fairer ideas of how to adjudicate possible disagreements.
