On the most basic level, the plugin should let the user select text from a PDF and apply a "highlight" to it

The plugin should offer at least 4 highlight colors, ideally from this Amplenote-supported pallete: color, color, color, color

Offer the option to remove any highlight

Offer the option to edit the color of a highlight after it has already been created

Once something is highlighted, a user should also be given the option to add a "note" to that highlight

A note can be simple plain text

A highlight can have a single note associated with it

The offer to create a note should come immediately after creating a new highlight, and should also appear for existing highlights with no notes

Offer the option to edit a note and remove a note from a highlight

The plugin should save highlights and notes as native PDF annotations in the file itself (and offer a way to export and download the PDF with those annotations included inside the file)

In addition to notes and highlights living inside the PDF viewer itself, a user should be able to export highlights to notes

A user can "copy" a highlight and then "paste" it into a real ample-note at an arbitrary location

A user can export all highlights into an automatically-created destination note, and should be able to filter by the highlight color

Upon selecting or creating a highlight/note, the user can press a button that sends that highlight to its correct ample-note, probably at the bottom of the note

Any exported highlight should have the following properties:

Should contain at least these elements

Should have a link back to the PDF, such that when clicked in Amplenote, the plugin opens and scrolls to the exported highlight (page and exact coordinates on that page)

This link should be highlighted in the Amplenote-supported color that corresponds to that highlights' color inside the PDF annotator

When a highlight/note is added to an ample-note, it should be formatted as a double-quoted block
