Playa del Carmen-ish. Casas Rojas in Cozumel ⭐⭐⭐⭐. $112/room. 6br. 27 5-star reviews. Many tasteful photos, plus a beach to swim in. Getting to activities in PdC would be a chore adventure, but that's probably fine?
Jamaica. Ocean Front Villa at St. Ann's Bay ⭐⭐⭐. $211/room. 5br. Great views, not so close to town.
Lake Atitlan. La Casa Colibri in Santa Catarina Palopo ⭐⭐⭐⭐. $79/room. 5 bedrooms. 34 5-star reviews. Great lake views from most rooms. Tiny pool. Pretty far in boondox, prob 30 min walk (10 min tuk tuk) to Pana. Hammocks with stunning views. Bahamas. Luxe Villa in Nassau ⭐⭐⭐. $187/room. 8br. Nice beach, well appointed. One review bemoaning lack of paper towels etc. Lovely working area. Rooms most/all have views?
Playa del Carmen. Villa del Mar in PdC ⭐⭐⭐. $213/room. 5 br. Location looks ideal, and it is beachfront in a very cool area, with at least 4 rooms having beach views from bed. Nice amenities inside. And you pay dearly for it all.
Placencia, Belize. HFC Lodge-5 Cabins in Placencia ⭐⭐⭐⭐. $158/room. 5 br. Center of town! Rooms very spartan, in cabins, part of the appeal? Beachfront. Hammocks

Beachfront Estate in Governor's Harbor ⭐. $135/room. 5br. Great beach, but house itself is meh. Location remote.
Charming Beachfront in Nassau ⭐. $196/room. 5br. Nice beach/snorkeling, cool deck, but rooms look meh.

Romantic escapade in Pana ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. $75/room. Only 3 bedrooms :( But everything else...

Under Mayan Stars in San Antonio Palopo ⭐. $80/room. 5br. 47 5-stars. Requires boat ride to anywhere. Ping pong table and any other imaginable amenity. Interior quality not inspiring (lacking br pics)

Siesta in Runaway Bay ⭐⭐. $148/room. 5br. No reviews :/. Looks like a reasonably nice place to work, on a sunnier day. Internet access can be intermittent

Ed note: looked through a page of filtered Airbnb results, this only decentish result. TBD if this indicates authentic shortage of satisfactory lodging in country. Some would-be candidates were too expensive relative to their amenities.

5 bedroom beach front in Placencia ⭐⭐⭐. $197/room. 5 br. Kind of BFE, but golf carts are viable transportation, and the home itself looks nice. TBD whether Placencia is an interesting place to stay.
